9 * Pervasive Computing - Ubiquitous Computing: they are the same whatever other people say
     10 * Mobile Computing (?) - I may have just invented that(Sven) ;) - I think so (Phil)

1817Has anybody GOOD arguments against UM guys doing context research?
    1918
20 On my opinion, UM captures
19I don't, I think they go together quite nicely! The context information is needed in order to know
20what the user's behaviour and hence a suitable model is. Arguably the line is a bit blurry from time to time.
21But in general I agree with Sven. (Phil)
     22
23In my (Sven) opinion, UM captures
    2124
    2225 - the user's preferences

    3437 - the user's *current* attention/feelings/emotions
    3538
36 This is still a weak difference, but I think one great differnce is
39This is still a weak difference.
40- why are these weak differences? I think it is a very clear line.
    3741
38  - The user's CONTEXT will changes *greatly* after some time, which is not to be supposed to happen to his USER MODEL.
42 but I think one great differnce is
    3943
40  - The user's CONTEXT will has no real use without an application reacting sensitively to the context.
44 - The user's CONTEXT will changes *greatly* after some time, which is not to be supposed to happen to his USER MODEL.
     45
46-- I would add that the UM should be able to track or maybe anticipate the changes. OR the change in context should trigger
47different part of the UM. (Phil)
     48
49 - The user's CONTEXT will have no real use without an application reacting sensitively to the context.
4150 - Depending on the context-sensitive application, the user's CONTEXT may be represented in a different way.

    43 ??? Feedback ???
     52-- Agree.
     53
54Looking at the line of argument and your last comment, I think the argument should not be between context and UMs, but between context-aware systems and UMs.
55From what I understand by UM it covers context-aware sytems, i.e. systems adapting to context, context prediction, plus many more.
